CDRO Celebrates SRP Recognition Day

As you may be aware, New York State celebrates SRP Recognition Day each November, and the CDRO always takes the opportunity to give our region’s SRPs a proper “Thank You.’  Last years’ celebration at the Desmond Hotel in Albany was attended by 175 of our regions SRPs!  To provide some context, in 2013 we had less than 50 attendees.  The number has grown exponentially each year since.

SRP Recognition Day acknowledges the contributions of School Related Professionals in helping to educate the whole student. NYSUT’s 90,000 SRP members perform a variety of key roles in schools, working as bus drivers, school nurses, custodians, secretaries, food service workers, teaching assistants and aides and in dozens of other job titles.

This year, in addition to our dinner at the Desmond we are also expanding to a new site – Saratoga HS – to accommodate our Brothers and Sisters who live in the northern part of the region.

Celebrate SRP Recognition Day, on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Desmond Hotel, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Latham, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. or on Monday, November 20, at the Saratoga High School, 1 Bluestreak Blvd. Saratoga, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The program includes a special thanks from NYSUT Vice President Paul Pecorale and Anna Geronimo, NYSUT Labor Relations Specialist for School Related Professionals.

Please RSVP on the following link: http://www.cvent.com/d/xtqmj7 or call 518-783-7977.

So help us set a new attendance record, enjoy some well deserved recognition, meet colleagues from around the region and have a nice dinner on us.
